JOB BREAKDOWN SHEET

1. Grind

Picture
Doing builds. Grind the area that needs a build flat, keeping it as steep as possible
This is a tricky as we have decided to keep the heel covering leather. In most cases the build is smaller and the covering is wron away. Generally glue up any loose bits of heel covering and then grind the covering and block flat on the corner.

2. Heat build

Picture
Choosing build material. Match the colour and feel of the heel block. Use Dupla for hard heels, Grippy for soft heels.  EVA, Business, Turbo offcuts and Leather can also be used to match the feel and colour. You can also paint the build to match or stain with polish. Heating helps it bend to the shape and glue fast and well.

3. Atom shoe

Atom right to the edge of the heel block.

4. Press build on frimly

5. Trim with knife

6. Trim with Miniband

Set miniband to about 12mm. Keep the shoe parallel as it trimming heel.

7. Grind base flat

Then grind the bottom level by doing the 2 ends of the build first then the middle. Grind onto the heel block as this is less likely to rip the build off.
